Hi there, this is why so many people don't want them to close to their homes. I live an hour and a half away from Vancouver. But we still have problems with the homeless. They have started living by the Vedder River and have been given the boot 1 time so far. They just moved about a block away from the spot. The amount of garbage and needles was just horrible. I have no problems with the homeless, but I don't want them rifling around my garage at 4 in the morning again.

When my relationship broke down,I become homeless,,living on people's sofas,and also my van,,this lasted two years before I got a small place of my own,,I never turned to drugs,,but continued to work no matter what my circumstances were,,that's why I can sympathize with the homeless,,

There's a saying that when you go woke, you definitely go broke. I think the meaning of wokeism has evolved into a more sinister level where the insincerity of the said cause has been weaponized to attack anyone they wish to because of their twisted belief systems blaming their miseries, or poverty to people they deem as superior than they are, as to why many of them are unemployable, and they would drag every person that comes across their path. I would never give in to it, even if people think I'm stupid, blind, or naive, but it's better to know things without expressing it all the time, or calling it out all the time. That's the reason rich people are rich, because they don't tell it to you in your face. They keep it to themselves, and mind their own business, while not completely naive about what's going on. It's funny how my opinion is a little outside the box, but self-righteousness is more common in lower places, or poverty-stricken places. Self-righteousness includes drug addicts, or criminals who doesn't think they're doing anything wrong even when it's clear there's something wrong with them. If they don't see it among themselves, then no one else would wish to remind them otherwise. It's like, everyone knows this is happening in society, but nothing you can do about it, and when you pass by people like that, you likely and most definitely would just walk, or drive pass them. It's unfortunate, but that's how society works because there's less you can do about people with a specific mindset that just don't fit in most if not all societal standards.

This is BS cherry picking. This is literally the ONLY place in Canada like this and it's been like this for decades. I lived in the USA twice and this is not nearly as bad as what I saw in Houston, Miami, East Cleveland, Orange county California and even Seattle. I could go on and on about slum US cities. We need more money pumped into mental health, addiction counseling, affordable housing, and basic income. All things Conservatives are against.
